Today, my group and I are practicing to memorize our presentation script. After that, we listened to Nini practice her song with Mr Murray. We also tried another group’s game about ping-pong. It was very fun. We did two vs two and I was the referee. 🏓
During my student conference this week I learnt that I need to work on doing my work on time so I am doing them in my SDL time.
I think the role and responsibility of a Government is to organize the country and make sure everyone is equal.
Winter holidays are coming! To me this means I can go back to Taiwan and live in my grandparent’s house. I am so exited to meet them!🎄
Our game is a game that anyone from G4-6 can play.
The skills you will need are:
Cooperating skills Planning skills
Running skills Teamwork
The rules are:
Find a partner and link with her/him
The taggers will have to tag the linked people
You don’t need any equipmets
The taggers’s goal is to tag all the players.
My group is doing a black and white themed art installation that allows you to step on it and feel the glitter between the plastic and the cardboard. Our main idea is contrast.
Our process for installation has included planing, a lot of sketching, deciding places and making.
We want our visiting audiences to step or walk around our installation and feel like you are in space.
I have learnt to cooperate and be patient with my other group members.😎
This week I worked with Yi-chin, Harry and Aik Xuan on my collaborative challenge. Our migration story is about the American Revolution.
Next week, we will present our Art Installations. I am working with Alyssa and Seppe on our project ‘contrast’.
I’m happy it is Friday because that means tomorrow is Saturday and I can sleep to whenever I want!
Mr Alksne is still reading the novel “Run, Pip, Run” in class this week. It is about a girl escaping the police and the world fair people.😘
Today was not very fun at P.E because we are making games in groups of 1,2 or 3. Our games had to include different kinds of skills and rules. It also needs to be suitable for grade 4,5 and 6. The time for our game is 5 to 10 minutes and is played between 20 people, 10 in each team. Our game is called Link tag and you have to go around and tag people. My team and I are still working on our rules for the game. I think I will still have to work on this for the next P.E class! 🙂
In class, Mr Alksne is reading ‘Run, Pip, Run’
I’m currently reading ‘Roller Girls’ by Victoria Jamieson. I like it because I can relate to it.
In my guided reading group, I am reading ‘Warrior Cats’ with Nini and other people in my group.
Reading is fun and relaxing to me. I will feel very happy when I finish a book! ❤️
My favorite game of the two games we played today was the T-ball. I like T-ball the most because it includes the whole team to cooperate well.
I learned that in T-ball, you minus the times of the ‘out’ from the ‘home-run’ to get your final score, I have never heard of that way before!
I used the ATL (approaches to learning ) thinking skills when I was really thinking about where I should stand in the gym to best support the people in the hoop, so I can pass the ball to them. 😉
This week I created a sway about some photos of camp, click this link to have a look!!!
Art was very interesting this week as we are starting to actually make our installation art with our groups. I am soo excited!!!
Learning to be an agent in my learning is to self-manage when I come to school every morning and look at the schedule, think what I need to do and finish it as fast as I can throughout the week.
Did you know that my favorite task or challenge throughout the week was making the sway that you can have a look right above there⬆️
Mindfulness is to be calm, quiet and have mindful bodies. Ms Anu has taught me to breath calmly and listen to what is happening ‘now’.
A push, pull and a twist connects to W.W.A.I.P.T because we are also talking about our migration around the world and why we are now here in Suzhou.
Book Week is coming! I am looking foward to dress up as a ninja at the last day!😉
